A Brief Description of the AMI Chamber of Commerce Giving Back program:

"The Island Trolley Giving Back" program was put together by the AMI Chamber of Commerce and Manatee County.  The purpose of the program was to keep the trolley free for the residents and visitors who use it daily which helps with traffic congestion. The AMI Chamber worked out an agreement with Manatee County to keep it free for our residents and tourists who rely on it by offering advertising opportunities to AMI chamber members. The revenues from this advertising would be used to cover trolley operational and maintenance costs. In addition, this program provides the Anna Maria Island Chamber of Commerce the opportunity to “Give Back” to the island community. We are able to use excess advertising revenues to give donations to local, island Non/Not-for-profit organizations. These organizations work hard at programs and events that benefit our community, tourism and our businesses.
