The Cortez Historical Society has been around since 1985, with the Cultural Center opening February, 2016. The new Center houses historic photographs & information about Cortez,as well as the genealogy of families that lived & are still living here.

Established in 2008, we promote, support & act as advocate for art and culture on the Island. Our featured event is ArtsHOP which takes place the second weekend in November and celebrates the island arts & culture.
