Artists Guild Gallery of Anna Maria
The Artists’ Guild of Anna Maria Island is throwing a 30th anniversary party on November 8th from 5-8pm at the Gallery. The party will spill out into the parking lot with popular local artists participating in a series of paint-arounds. Guests will have the opportunity to win the finished paintings. In addition, we are featuring a large selection of paintings based on historical local scenes. Refreshments will be served. Come join the fun, meet the artists, and help us celebrate!
The Guild, established in 1989, by founding president Genevieve Novicky Alban, was the first organized non-profit artists’ group on the island. Its purpose was to promote and support visual, performing and writing artists and develop a local artistic community.
We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with many programs that support arts education, by making donations to school programs, sponsoring student scholarships and hosting schoolchildren’s visits to the Gallery and to the Ringling Museum in Sarasota. Senior art students from local high schools are invited to exhibit monthly at the Gallery.
The Guild also hosts monthly meetings with program speakers and offers a growing program of art classes and workshops. Guild artists staff the Gallery daily and participate in the Holmes Beach Art Walks each month in season. In addition, we sponsor an annual open fine art show each January with cash prizes.
The Gallery is located at 5414 Marina Drive in Holmes Beach. For more information, visit amiartistsguildgallery.com.
