Peggy Nash was quick to share her reflections of Priscilla’s life and contribution to Roser Church and the Anna Maria Island Community. Here is what she wrote…

Priscilla Seewald was a very special Christian friend to many of us who are a part of Roser Church and Guild. We will always remember her friendly smile, laugh and willingness to help many of us. She was fun to be with. Some of her activities in no particular order are:

For years, Priscilla delivered flowers from our sanctuary following worship services to many shut-in and other persons who did always enjoy, appreciate the flowers, and her visit.

She worked regularly on Tuesday mornings at the Guild Thrift shop with Daryll Van Ostenbridge, for many years, and with others. She especially enjoyed reading books, and shared favorite ones with those who were interested in reading. She helped with the Guild Thrift Shop Style Shows and the ones for the Garden Club too, where she was very active.

Priscilla was a retired school teacher and loved children, could always be counted on to help with Daily Vacation Bible School, some years with her grandson and/or granddaughter as a helper. The children always listened, learned and loved her, and knew that she really cared and was interested in each of them.

Until recent years, Priscilla was the program chair for the Guild, introducing us to some of her very talented friends from the Garden Club who demonstrated ways to make interesting arrangements, and others. She was the person who installed the Guild’s present officers.

Priscilla was also an active member of All Island Denominations. She especially enjoyed working with Anna Maria Elementary School’s counselors in helping A.I.D. to provide food during summers, Thanksgiving and Christmas for less fortunate families of children who attend school on the island. This is done in association with the Roser Food Pantry, which AID sponsors. Priscilla loved her husband and family very much, enjoyed good music, drama and being a part of other organizations too. Priscilla was always happy to help and will be greatly missed by many of us.

Heaven’s Kisses
She will be deeply missed,
And she will be kissed,
As she enters Heaven s gates,
Think of the miracles she awaits;
Gates of pearls, streets of gold.
All the blessings heaven holds,
But one of the most precious of all,
Is knowing that she answered God’s call.
