“Relatively Speaking”, by Alan Ayckbourn, will be presented by The Island Players next month. Opening Night is November 7 at 8:00 PM and the closing Matinee is November 17 at 2:00 PM. It is being Directed by Heiko Knipfelberg, Stage Managed by Denise Handley and Co-Produced by Bortell’s Lounge.
The play is a witty comedy full of mistaken identities and misunderstandings. The small cast of four is comprised by accomplished actors; Jeffrey Steiger as Greg, Kristin Mazzitelli as Ginny, Mark Shoemaker as Phillip and Sylvia Marnie as Sheila.
After Greg proposes marriage, Ginny leaves for a day in the country, allegedly to visit her parents but actually to break things off with her married lover. Greg finds the address and decides to surprise his fiancee by arriving first – much to the hilarious confusion and dismay of her older lover, Philip, and his befuddled wife, Sheila.
Tickets are $23 per person and will be available for purchase when the Box Office opens on October 28th. The Box Office is open thereafter on Mondays – Saturdays from 9-1 and prior to each show.
